Upon marrying, she moved to Sarnadas and learned about the uses of these items\u2014from hammocks and ropes to rugs and donkey heads. She worked with artisans from neighboring villages, producing pieces with the material given to Dona Aldegundes, later selling the finished product. After years away, she returned with the Esparto Grass Studio project, now creating her own pieces.
