Born in Portugal, in the Algarve, she moved to France at the age of 11 months. The daughter of Portuguese parents, she worked as a kindergarten teacher her entire life, she retired and returned to the Algarve (Parragil). She saw her mother doing handicrafts as a child, and it was her cousin, upon returning to the Algarve, who taught her the first handicraft techniques.
She has always enjoyed crafts (sewing, crochet, and other crafts). To improve and gain new skills, she took a handicraft course with artisan Sónia Mendez at Loulé Criativo. She picked up the technique with ease.
In May 2023, she joined the Palm Weaving Shop and founded the Palm Weaving Club at Loulé Criativo.
