Watchmaker Studio

The watchmaker’s craft had in the past great importance in the municipality of Loulé, where there was enough demand for gold ou silver but also for watches, used as adornment.

Until recently, to repair a simple wall clock it was necessary to go to the clock Museum (in Serpa, Alentejo). Due to this reality, and the availability of an experienced watchmaker and the desire of the municipality to revitalize the crafts, the Watchmaker Studio opened at Solar das Palmeiras building, where the watchmaker José João Guerreiro applies his knowledge, making maintenance and arrangements.
