He has always accompanied his father, a producer of arbutus, and his fascination with the manual construction of copper stills was present

He was born in 1979 in Faro.

The connection to copper has happened since his first memories that he has a connection to the production of arbutus, in which copper stills are used. He has always accompanied his father, a producer of arbutus, and his fascination with the manual construction of copper stills was present. Several times he visited Mestre “Ti” Ricardo, master of Mestre Analide (who would later train him in this art), and where he consolidated the desire to learn how to work copper.

After a stint in IT in the 2000s, and with a desire to connect with something more human and personal, he graduated in 2009 with a degree in physiotherapy. In 2016, he learned about the first coppersmith training program, which he was no longer able to access, leaving him with a passion. In 2019, he enrolled in a second training program… And the rest is history.
